My new obsession is buying fonts for my new Adana 3-5 printing press, what a dream!!

I haven't actually attempted to use it yet because I haven't got all the gubbins you need to hold the text in the.... chase(!?!). But once I'm up and running I'm going to be able to do lovely, lovely letterpress which I'm really excited about.

I've become a bit obsessed with machinery ever since I started watching 'How Its Made' on Quest, which is one of the channels near Babestation. Look out for it, its much more gripping than slutty girls, promise. Plus there are some second-to-none puns which are worth watching out for.

I've been working on a few projects recently, Including a bit of printing of some illustrations I did a while ago. I finally got round to printing them for a sale I did at the end of the year. Now I've decided to start up an etsy shop to sell my prints on. Its a bit baron at the moment so I'm going to spend the next few weeks working on some new stuff to sell.

You can see it here

Recently, me and my good friend Jacqueline Ford were asked to make a film about Rob Ryan. Rob was asked by Heathrow to design a card for them to give out to their passengers. Here's the film which hopefully explains it all!

I've been working on a few bits and bobbles for the Mangle Christmas sale which is on this Saturday 10th December, 11am - 6pm.
Selling stuff alongside some of my favourite people Hazel Nicholls, Suzie Winsor, Lorna Ryan of Barbara Bearo, Lilli Cowley-Wood Lovenskate, Dan Holliday Dave Rowswell and of course, the one and only Rob Ryan.
Come down if you can make it, should be good funzos.

Here are some business cards I made for Short Round Music. Short Round Music are a company who produce music for interactive media. They wanted some business cards to reflect their new website so I printed these in dark grey onto thick card with a striking golden yellow edge. Half of the cards were also printed on the back with a grey diagonal stripe and half were left blank for note making!!

I have a new email address if anybody wants any stationary designed and printed, please contact me on info@libertywright.co.uk.

Amy and James have a black and white theme for their wedding in September 2011 so they wanted to reflect that in the invitation. They were also keen to include some illustrations of birds so on the front of this invite you can see two birds trying the knot. Get it? This theme runs throughout the whole invite which you can see in the knotted rope repeat in the lined envelope, the knotted rope around the border of the invitation and sillhouetted in the RSVP.

The invitations and RSVPs are hand-screen printed on thick 700gsm white card, with a contrasting black envelope which is lined in the same white (120gsm) paper and a information sheet with directions and accomodation tips for guests.
the RSVP postcard is printed with their address and pre-stamped for their guests to tick a box and put in the post.

Pretty excited for the wedding!

Wedding Invites

I've just finished printing wedding invitations for the lovely Charlotte and Scott! The invitations are designed and hand screen printed by me on thick 700gsm card. In with the invitation goes an RSVP postcard, also hand printed with a matching design on the front and an addressed response on the back (I've taken this out on the photo as I don't want to post their address all over the internet....) Charlotte and Scott sent these out with a stamp on the postcard so their guests just have to tick a box and pop it in a postbox!
I'm currently working my next wedding invite and will post up pics as soon as they're finished!
If you would like your wedding invitations designed and printed by me, please send an email to liberty.wright@live.co.uk
