Printing

For the past couple of days I've been busy printing for the exhibition I'm showing some work in starting this thursday.
The theme of the exhibition is secrets, so I've based my work on the novel The Secret Garden and painted a bunch of flowers.
This is probably the most ambitious print I've done so far since leaving university as it was 8 colours onto silk, but it worked suprisingly well and I'm really happy with how is looks so far.
I've still got a bit more printing to do and then have to get them framed... cutting a it a bit fine as always.
Anyway, here are some photos of me printing, hungover in a freezing cold studio with 3 jumpers on. So naturally, I look incredible.
The exhibition starts on this thursday 25th November until Saturday 27th at The Red Lion in Hoxton Square, London. There are a bunch of us showing all different stuff so it should be pretty good.

Hogwarts Hogroast

Doing an invite for a 21st Harry Potter themed party.

The owl will have slits cut either side of it's beak and a card with all the info for the night will be stuck underneath as if it's holding it.

Pretty genius I know...

Print Club

As it's the only way I get any work done, I decided to enter the recent competition for Print Club London to design and print a poster with a glow in the dark element.
I heard about the competition the day before the deadline so did this in one evening. I also learnt how to do perspective (badly) in this same evening, so I'm pretty unsure of the whole drawing as it's nothing like anything I've ever done or attempted to do before.
Obviously, I didn't get in, but at least I sort of learnt how to draw stars on a ceiling with my mum talking me through it on the phone.
Glow-in-the-dark stars on a ceiling was the fanciest thing I could think of to do with glow in the dark ink.....oops
